Surrey County Council awards £40m highways contract to Atkins

Consultancy Atkins has been appointed by Surrey County Council to develop and lead maintenance and improvement works across its 3,000-mile road network.

Under the five-year contract, valued at more than £40m, Atkins will deliver asset management design for single carriageways, dual carriageways, and local roads, as well as associated infrastructure such as bridges, embankments, street lighting and drainage systems. The contract has the option of a four-year extension.
